MESSAGE FROM THE CO-EDITOR
I realize that this monthly “updates issue” has become a bit of a waste of time for me and I think that could be my own fault. It’s time for some changes in 2024! Let’s find out what’s in store…

CHAPTER TRACKER UPDATES
I have taken the liberty of updating all of the “Intro” emails I send out just before the start of a new book with the image of our Chapter Tracker. It’s the email that lists out the Table of Contents and shares the Author’s Note as well. If you are ever interested in seeing how many of us are reading together, please do check often as I’ve gone all the way back to book one. There are quite a few new readers who are joining us! It’s exciting to see!
NAVIGATION UPDATES
Starting in 2024, all books prior and moving forward will have navigation at the beginning and end of each chapter. Now you can easily navigate to the previous chapter, next chapter, and book index.
INDEX OF CHARACTERS
For my fellow Ozians, a definitive list of characters per book is coming, along with some information about each one.
As I stated, this is the final issue of The Gazette. I truly enjoyed working on these each month, but as I look to increase my own fiction writing over on my main Substack (newsletter) I realized I needed to scale back what I’m doing in other places. I’ll still be reading along with all of you, of course. In true confessions time, I had to play catch-up to finish book 3 on November 3rd and I’m only just now fully caught up on Book 4! Phew! I won’t go into all that has happened in my personal life (moving, etc.) but it is what it is sometimes.
I won’t say a full goodbye to The Gazette as I hope to one day resurrect it, when I have more time perhaps, or there are more readers here who hear that it once existed and clamor for is resurrection! Till then…
2024 and Beyond…
Here is a look at how the next 6+ years look for our massive read along. You will notice a few “anomalies” about the order of things that I hoped to get into the weeds with you here on The Gazette but alas, you will have to ponder and perhaps do your own research as I have as to why later books are in the Public Domain and others must wait their turn…
When we get to 2029 we’ll discuss how to proceed. If we go out of order or not, etc. But till then, we have MANY books to get through and who knows what the future holds. I certainly hope to still be here, with you, chugging along with these many many books.
