The illustration of "Tin Dorothy" is interesting, as it appears to be the John R, Neill's blonde Dorothy looking at a Tin version of W.W. Denslow's brunette Dorothy. Since the Denslow version is only in the first book, I always believed in the blonde Dorothy, which is why, after having read several of the Baum books, when I finally saw the movie much later, I thought Judy Garland was miscast.
